Alright, anyone have a spare GS-R Intake manifold gasket laying around?? I've been having issues w/ my car the past few days. Here's the story.

I bought some new injectors for it-- Mustang 42# (441cc). I started putting them in, but they fit So tightly in the fuel rail that the ez way to get them in is to stick the injectors into the manifold, then tighten the fuel rail over them. So this is what I do, then the fuckin' 10mm bolt breaks off in the hole on the driver side. The passenger side bolt still is fine and the middle one is stripped out. I turn the car on w/ the injectors not all the way in, and it runs like ass, lots of popping, I think it's becuase the nozzle of the injector isn't getting a mist where it's supposed to. Of course, the ECU spits a 74 code which is random misfire Cylinder 4. Ok, so I try ez out on the bolt and it just makes it worse, so I decide to try to put my stock Imaniffold on, but the fucking gasket on the JG edlebrock manifold broke when I took it off.

I did get one pull out of them though and it BONE the FUG out! Felt MUCH quicker on the top end. Can you say 11's w/ just my turbo???? See if I can't fix it before Wednesday.

So now it's Sunday and I'm SOL, don't think pep boys or napa would have anything like that.

use some of the paper to make your own gaskets if you need it that badly.........and then swap out for an acura IM gasket later.

Yeah, use a cereal box for gasket material.

I got it a couple weeks ago. I've tried touching my intake manifold after running the car hard and it was just warm.

seems like a good idea..why wouldnt honda have done something like that in the first place if it didnt have some negative effect? I can definately see how it would help however, with the stock B16A2 the intake/exhaust headers hold SO much heat it keeps the damn engine hot forever unless you water it down.

Any feelings on this product Mr Honda Jedi? Or are you still tucked away in the lair? :)

Hey, dunno if this helps but when my greddy header gasket got burnt on one side, i used several layers of aluminum foil to patch up the missing piece. Just take some foil and slowly extend from one side to the other side, using lots of layers. Still holds to this day, about 9 months and goin. Wasnt aboutt o pay 60 bucks for a gasket from greddy. Good luck

We're on the intake side of the motor, not the exhaust side. It wouldn't matter to get a heat resistant exhaust manifold gasket anyway. You sure it's not leaking on that ehxuast manifold gasket?

Well at least it's only 60 and not 300 *shrug*

You can re use it plenty of times since it's plastic. Seems like a good investment if you work on the car alot... Whats the cost of the stock ones? 20-30 buck right. Also reduces temps a little.
