409 Cleaner On Paint?

Yeah, a friends Dad used 409 cleaner on a car I just waxed, he asked if I can reapply wax to the "spots where it isn't there anymore." I'm afraid it might have gone deeper than the wax... will this stuff tear into the clear coat?

It shouldnt but I would strip the rest of the wax with claybar and start from scratch.

don't know about 409, but when i use bug and tar remover, i rewax it immediately.
