what do you guys think, save for a Vortech after cooled setup or go turbo? Will a Vortech supercharger fit a B16A in a 94 civic?

The turbo will ultimately give you more potental. The lag are about the same, because the Vortech is a really high end power maker. Yes the supercharger will fit.

i would just go turbo. You can pick up a full GReddy 18-G kit off the internet for like $2k like i did. I get all of my stuff of ebay and everything has came and came on time. 16.1 aint good enough for ya eh? Just playin. i hope to get my JG Edelbrock intake manifold on by this weekend and for sure run 15's.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

Bryan

I'm kinda leaning towards the Supercharger, I know it costs $4000 for the entire thing, but it makes 277hp @ 8psi I think, much less on stock internals. Plus the Vortech has a blowoff valve, although that's only effeicent @ 10psi.

Ew. No. Turbo for sure. A lot easier to go quicker w/ turbo.

hmm...Maybe the Greddy kit, not too bad for $2000 to $3000.

Yah well Tobi's SC is a lot different than the vortech. Let me just get this straight right now. HONDA GUYS STAY AWAY FROM VORTECH!!!! unless it's got like 3.2 displacement

thats what i've heard too. it looks badass on that one SI that me & eric saw on weds tho...
the vortech s/c GSR only pulled a 14.9 at sea level, which is not impressive at all. not for 4G's anyways

Vortechs are only good for V8's.

Now that turbo is decided, should I get the Greddy or something with a t3/t04e turbo? Does the T3 turbo put more wear on the engine?

the 18G is just smaller
it will still work fine if you get a sweet deal on a kit.
but for 350+ hp, the 18G is too small, & the T3/4 would work better in the long run.
correct me if im wrong
Titus - the guy with no turbo but has been researching them for a long time

t3/t04e is probably what you want. Go to www.cheapturbo.com, they have pretty good recomendations on what size turbo to get for your engine size. Oh, also, kyle@ks-motorsports.com has a pretty kick ass deal where you can piece together your own kit from a list of parts. That is what I did and I have basically a custom kit but did not have to go buy everything for 18 different places. Actually I think you can go to www.ks-motorsports.com and go to custom turbo in one of the corners.

KS Motorsports is awesome, damn, I checked out their setup and it seems like a system that is really easy to upgrade, external wastegate, HKS SS BOV. Damn, I need a loan.

hell yea, and i can get a new 98+ rear bumper!!!
but how could i have someone hit my front end so it's their fault i can get a JDM conversion???
go greddy its cheaper and the 18g's perfect for the street and you'll have cash left over for things like Hondata. And theres not much lag either.

The JDM conversion will cost you about $2000 or more I think, I guess I could just let one of my Friends drive it into a curb! I think I'll save this winter and buy it in aprill I hope

the greddy kit with the IC is just as expensive or more than a drag gen3 kit
& teh drag kit comes with the t3/4e turbo
ben at importsports is selling the drag kits for 2600

I think he was doing that deal for $2699, not sure if he is even doing anymore. A lot of ppl got pissed on h-t.com because the kits were like on backorder and nobody was getting them. That might not be exactly accurate but that is what I gathered from reading that thread over there.
The Greddy kit is another good option, I looked into that route also. But, with that kit, you don't get an external wastegate, or bov, and you have to pay extra for the intercooler. I guess the kit decision ultimately depends on what your demands are. I went with the custom t3/t04e setup because there is a lot more potential to build on.
Titus; the DRAG kit comes w/ an inline fuel pump but no injectors. That's why they have the fmu's, to cram mad amounts of fuel through the small stock injectors...

You get the Hondata s200 w/ boost in the base price too. It's not quite as cheap as the DRAG kit or the Greddy, but you get quality parts and a setup that is just how you want it. If you have questions just email Kyle, tell him Justin sent you, he has hooked me up pretty good and I'm sure he'd help anyone else out too.

That's cause they aren't included. I bought a lot of my parts before actually buying the turbo kit.
If you want to buy the KS-motorsports kit as a "bolt on" kit like the DRAG/Revhard/Greddy, then you need to choose fmu&pump under the fuel management menu. You even take $200 or so bux *off* the price if you choose to go the fmu route. Then you will have a kit that you can just slap on your car and go.
When I started buying parts for my turbo setup I knew I was going to go standalone for fuel management. So I bought parts accordingly. I have a list of everything I've bought since I started purchasing earlier this year. It is found here:
