I just got my first car today. I`ve heard that mixing rice with fuel increase octane and performance. I`m skeptical since rice might clog my fuel filter or even worse, my injectors. Does rice desolve completely? Wich one do you all use? I just bought a big bag of minute rice, but was later told that Uncle ben`s work better with Honda... I don`t know who to believe. Any advises?

By all means stick with the non-minute rice. Minute rice tends to actually LOWER octane levels, whereas the old standby 'generic' rice has a very nice effect on octane. I have a partail 50 lb bag in my garage, and always have 2 or 3 lbs in a bag in the car, just in case.

Minute rice, no. Any of the instant stuff, be it white or brown, is bad. Go with the old standby and you won't be disappointed.

I've always had good luck with wild rice.

And regarding the clog factor, just remove the filter - it's not necessary. The injectors (at least the good ones, like in my rice rocket) are self cleaning.

Yeah what john said. Im partial to any kind of organic or naturally grown rice, it lends itself to an all natural horsepower boost. Which in my opinion is good. Anytime I can hug a tree and go fast Im all for it. There are some special blends of wild and african rice that when mixed with muddy water make for a jolly good time. i would try it but Im afraid my pistons couldnt handle the added heat.

And if you think rice adds kick, wait until you start experimenting with crank. Or cocaine. Oh My God.

See? See! Proof! It DOES work. Just keep it quiet so the domestic guys don't catch on. They are finally figuring out turbochargers, but keep the rice & recreational chemicals QUIET!

I put spinache in my stang...it beefs up the power nicely, especially the higher you get in altitude.

I experimented with some synthetic blends of instant rice back in my focus days. The effect was good for a while, but I noticed the engine building up an octane tollerance. It took more and more to get the same effect. I ever heard crushed up rice patties works really well, but I was skeptical.
