I went out to my car today and my glove box was open and napkins and random shit on my seat. I was like WTF. Then looked back, some bastard decided to bust out my rear window and break into the car to see if they could get some freebies. Thank god I didn't buy a new stereo deck or amp/sub...and my car was completely empty. So I guess its slightly a Thieves:3 Nick:1, I am slightly becoming numb to shit happening with me and my car

Sorry to hear about that, Nick. Between the thieves and all the retards, I really don't see myself buying another Honda or Acura anytime soon.

In past years, I've noticed that thieving season seems to run between September and the end of December. I don't know why, but there seems to be the highest concentration of Honda/Acura theft in that time period.

That is such crap. Even if they didn't make off with anything, they still jacked the car up. I hope somebody catches the crack-head that did it and shoots them.

Here is the info on that salvage yard:
Action Auto Recycling (http://affiliate.yellowbook.com/Intelius/Addresses/Listings/Listing/177511197/action-auto-recycling.html?Partner=il.address&T=&Q=businessname%3a+Action+Auto+Recycling&WH=Aurora%2c+CO&CT=3&CS=2&AN=0)

They are at Colfax and Zeno. Give them a call before you go in, they will also check the hotline for you as well. I hope this helps you to get a new window man.

My brother lives downtown too, his shit is constantly under attack. Time to get a car that already looks stolen so it wont get fucked with.

Sad thing is, my car already looks like its been to hell and back. I bought it for $1000 and has run and cracks all over. I sanded the top down to the primer. Thats why I bought this car because it looked fucked up.
Try keeping the car clean on the inside, so they think there's nothing at all in there (even though there isn't, all that clutter looks like you keep stuff in there). That's what I'd do, but I'm not a thief so I'm not sure what they look for.

dammit! stupid jerks... sorry to hear about this. Glad they didn't get away with anything, but it's still a HUGE pain in the ass.
It's to the point where I don't even feel comfortable driving my car anymore. I was driving down Sheridan the other day and I have 3 guys gawking at my car... and it's so hard because you don't know if they just like your car and want to look at it or if they're scoping it out to steal it.

Most likely, they are looking for registration and insurance papers.
Some mexicans (They were illegals from mexico...) broke into my friends F150 and stole the registration, insurance papers, and the plates from teh outside. They then put it on THIER green F150 and drove around for a few weeks. When they got pulled over, they told the officer it was right, and something must have gotten mixed up at the DMV. If he hadn't have made a police report and just went on with life - they would have gotten away with it.
Sucks that it happened to you man, I've never met you, but I've talked with you a bit...
Good luck!

All my insurance paperwork, registration, and even two of my old paycheck stubs were in my glove box and they didn't take any of them. I honestly don't think they got anything out of the car, I think I had a screw driver in the glove box they got away with but thats it. Even a pair of nice sunglasses were in there they didn't take.....

I don't think they would have gotten away with it. Everytime i get pulled over they compare the registration to the vin plate on the dash. if that doesn't match, red flags go up.
but it is NOT a good idea to keep insurance and registration in the vehicle. i keep it in my wallet.
I've never once had them physically check my VIN to compare it to something.
Why isn't it a good idea to carry your insurance information in your car?
