It still in prototype stage it looks like. No clamps on the piping. It still looks unfinished. But cool.

Mine is going to be a single tho. and a lot shinier. *bling*
What could his motivation for twin turbos on that possibly be? Twins are generally used to reduce turbo lag on larger engines, a little 2 liter engine would have a hell of a time spooling both those turbos. One single turbo would do MUCH better on that car.

I dont know man, the t3-t4 setup spools fast as shit on this engine. Maybe its the bigger, badder, faster syndrome.

hrmm..noticed that too. Maybe I'd just stick a few lose turbos under the hood of my car for the next show...plumb up some bigass interfooler and make it look like it works. Of course I'd have to manufacture some bigass dyno chart too.....hrmmm :)
Cool looking setup..if it runs well, more power to him.

Gotta give the owner credit, though. Nice kit/work/etc. Love the FMIC.

Actually, twins spool slower than ANY single turbo setup, regardless of what engine you put in on. A twin setup only makes sense on a V or H motor where plumbing interconnection is a hassle because of a tight engine compartment. Some V8s go twin because singles are not cheap in the very big sizes.

How much HP can a stock S2000 4 banger handle?
HONDA GHANDI
09-27-2002, 11:33 AM
Stock internals can handle 6 lbs on pump gas, 8 on 104.
They make right around 300 to the wheels.
I will be starting mine as soon as I get some money to do some R&D on the manifold. I am trying to keep my full kit price around $4500-$5000.

I guess when I run out of things to boost. I got a Honda lawnmower too that needs a little help in tall grass. Maybe i could get a baby turbofor that.

What would that twin turbo S2000 run in the 1/4 and how much power would it produce?

And also depending on the C.I.D. you may need 2 if you have a larger displacement your going to need the air of 2 turbos to run properly.

This will explain some of it. And it has some cool calculators that will help you figure out E.T., MPH, H/P, and what size or how many turbos you will need for your specific application.
One benifit to twins is that the exhaust gases exit quicker. Think about it, two 2.5 inch downpipes compared to one 3 inch down pipe. That is 5 inches compared to 3, plus each down pipe and wastegate dump tube only have to deal with have the exhaust load. That could be why the one guy was talking about reving faster, but only larger engines. However, I would still only do a single on a motor that small.

I've seen a TT setup on a DSM but I heard in testing it was quick but still much slower than most other DSMs running 1 turbo. With 4 cylinders and only one exhaust bank I can't see the advantage to running 2 turbos with out some kind of loss.
I know the Supra TT works but for full out drag cars most opt of a big single turbo.
I think on a 4 banger it just doesn't work as well and would just take up too much room and you'd probably still lose to an S2000 with 1 turbo. Sometimes simple is better.
