Important requirements of Pueblo Motorsports Park
Bike preperation:
- tail and head lights must be taped over (i recommend painters tape)
- mirrors removed
- no water in radiator or hoses, only water and wetter allowed
Yourself:
- Pueblo safety course or race certificate (bikes) or some sort of track schooling (MSF not considered here) in the past 3 years (must be able to prove it with a certificate)

- Gauntlet style gloves (over the wrist, I have a pair to load out if needed)

Scott made some damn good improvements the last time at PMI. I was impressed. But I too, would like to see other HAI riders show up for this.
Sameer? Ashton? Jon?

No problem..... all the respect to you for even going. This next time, I will have two batteries for my video camera and also will have some deadening material for the vibrations. Seems as though if I went over 110mph the camera would catch too much vibration and start skipping and pixelating badly.
By the way, if you have already taken a safety class, price is now 75 for the full day....

After what happened to Gene at La Junta last year on account of some fucking idiot noob who wasn't paying attention, I'm glad they're requiring that course.

I'm rolling my eyes at the fact that dumbassinthe2000 lacks the brains to google the reason (or search the site) as why he needs the course.
I 100% agree its good. Your first time on the track is like your first time driving. Do you really want people going out with no training? I sure don't.

$149.00 isn't a bad price for the basic safety course, then having some time to still ride at the end. It will teach you the basics on how to get out there minimizing the risks to yourself and to others.....Plus, you will get to meet others out there that take motorcycling quite a bit more seriously than the average street people.
Not saying street riding is bad since I still enjoy is once in a while, but in all serousness, canyon riding can be fun, but no where near the adrenaline rush or skills needed/learned on the track. Plus the mentality of track people is completely different, you will hear/learn new terms (lingo) and learn the nitty gritty of what truely makes the bike faster (not talking HP, talking skills and adjustments).
Any of you that "think" you can turn, should give it a try at a track......most of us get very humbled out there our first few times.

so how do I sign up for the course?

I will put you in contact with the person once I get it confirmed, I am trying to set up the class for that monday oct 8th.... so those that choose to stay an extra day can have the option to pay the second track day at normal price and ride.....
Theres a couple of instructors out there so we are seeing which one will be free. Most likely Mark Schellinger, he also teaches the MRA race school and even teaches some guys in the expert class as well.

Getting the bike ready is easy, just get the suit. Two piece suit will work as long as it zips all the way around. http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15889
All we need to do for the bike is remove mirrors or fold them in, tape up head and tail lights, flush radiator thoroughly (several times) to get the coolant out and distilled water in mixed with water wetter.
