i've been reading about its incredible capabilities on h-t.com

i was wondering if there is a way to make it control methanol or propane injection to raise the octane if a knock sensor detected detonation. anyone think its possible?

Hey, for what it's worth....I will have the new Hondata s200 in my hands here in a day or two. I have the datalogging and Romeditor also which basically makes it an equivalent to a Hondata 4b, except I'll have the latest and greatest from Hondata. So, hopefully, in the future I'll get good enough with it to tune other Hondata's, or atleast help. I gotta get that stupid pocket programmer too though, soon. Since your car is obd1 it would be much cheaper to go w/ a Hondata s200 with boost over the AEM. The AEM obviously will have it's advantages though and it pretty much ownz in the big picture.

We're roomates.

AFAIK, the AEM system can't do that without doing some programming on your own. The system can pretty much do anything you want it to, but only certain things are built in. As long as you have extra connections on the ECU and the know how to get in there and program the outputs/inputs to deliver the proper signal based on the sensor readings you want it to react to, it can do anything you want.

I was kinda upset at the fact that the new Hondata s200 comes with boost and datalogging already built into them.........but you have to pay $200 each to unlock the functions. So they can sell the s200 for whatever the base price is including all of the functions but it costs $400 more to use boost and datalogging.

Maybe not, is anyone else having problems starting a new thread? The site is really slow and won't give the button or option to start a new thread for me?

Why is that bad? It makes upgrading 100 times easier. No need to send your unit to Hondata if you want datalogging, or boost added, or any of the other features. You just purchase the "license" or whatever for it, input it into your Hondata and you're set to go.

It's no more expensive than it was before. And by the way, you can get the upgrades for cheaper than what Hondata advertises them for. Atleast I did.
