In both these pictures, I'm not tucked down far enough, nor am I keeping my upper body straight. Notice how I'm twisting my back and pushing my legs and lower torso out further than my upper body.

Bad form.

Now, in the turns where I AM keeping my body straight, I'm not tucking close enough to the tank:

The rear end is stiff enough - I probably could. But after my lowside in Turn 3 yesterday, I've had quite enough sliding for awhile.

that sucks... looked like you had full gear on... and you suffered, everything else ok?

All the gear, all the time.

The damage to the bike was entirely cosmetic, minus the misaligned front tire. But a quick undoing of the lower pinch and triple tree bolts, axle nut, and then a couple bounces of the bars and everything went right back to normal.

I'll be replacing the frame sliders on that side as well.

Yeah, turn 3 clockwise. Came over the hill entirely too hot and turned in a little too soon. The bike got pretty unstable and I immediately fixated on the gravel instead of looking through the turn.

Everything is groovy, bike still runs and rides like a champ (150 canyon miles today), so I'll still be there Friday. :)

Nothing like a few pics to let you know how you are doing eh?

Just cosmetic, nothing really to see.

Right fairing has a few minor scratches, the right frame slider is missing about 1/3 of it's original material, and the exhaust can has some minor rash to it.
