pulled this from another forum... dunno if it works anyone wanna give it a try? maybe someone can splice a wire to connect to the charger to keep the phone charging when the car starts up... gonna try this.

Okay this will work for socal folks and maybe other places but I'm not sure .
First off you're going to have to go to Target and pick up a boost mobile phone for 30$ this includes the phone, sim card and activation with $10 . Then you also have to pick up a data cable for 4$ shipped from ebay , go to

www.mologogo.com

and download the jad and jar files , upload that through webjal that you have to get from www.harrythompson.com . Once you have created a login at mologogo.com you could view yourself on a gps map. Hide the phone in a good hiding spot in your car, I chose making a small hole in my passenger seat so no one would find it . Here are some screenshots of the gps tracking its right on cue and my car is currently under a garage and i can also view where I have been , it updates every couple of minutes . The 10$ you have on the phone is only valid for 90 days so you have to re-boost after that . This really works and will give you a sort of piece of mind . For 30$ you cant go wrong . Ask me any questions and fyi I posted this on honda-tech a while back and the jackass's flamed me for no reason . Maybe you guys wont .

Phone pic ; crappy phone but you could add some good features and use free services such as opera mini, google maps, gmail mobile and its a free no gimmicks .

oh I forgot to add you can't shut down the application on the phone.

That sounds like a great idea, especially if you own a Honda. How many people could have gotten back their cars if they had this? It reminds me of my ghetto alarm on one of my old cars, I installed an air horn on the car and then wired the dome light to the horn with a switch. If the door opened for any reason the horn would wake me up. I just put a switch near the door in the headliner towards the back seat for when i would leave, it would only blare the horn for a minute while I turn off the switch. It woke me up one night and prevented the theft of my stereo and my Grant wheel when I lived near downtown. Good stuff!

that is the worst idea, I would never do anything like this to my car. ;)
