The wife and I saw Heart at Fiddlers Green about 6 weeks ago. We were so blown away that we decided to roadtrip to Albuquerque and see them again. Left yesterday, saw them last night, drove home today.

The legacy gt averaged 27 mpg with the cruise set anywhere between 85 and 89 mph. What a PLEASURE to drive. The 6 hrs each way went by quickly, and the wife and I had a blast! :)

Saw Heart at the Sandia Casino amphitheater (http://www.sandiacasino.com/htmlpages/amphitheater.html) - a 5000 seat venue. We were in the 11th row, right of center. And again, Heart kicked my ass. For a band who I pretty much ignored in the 70s & 80s, they rock hard! Really hard! Ann Wilson's voice is as good as, or better than, it was in the 80s. She's 57 and sings like a 20something.

On the way back today, a nondescript red car with Colorado plates BLEW by us (cruise was set at 85), so I paced him "well in excess of the posted 75 mph speed limit". There was about 1/2 mile between us, and we were COOKING. For a good number of miles.

A generic white car took an on ramp well ahead of us, and as the red car came blazing up on him, it turned out to be a LEO (law enforcement office) of some sort. The officer simply flashed the lights in the rear window of his car, causing said red car to stand on the brakes and drop down to the posted limit. As did I. And that was it. The LEO paced the red car for about 5 miles, then blazed off into the distance.

The wife and I were in awe. Nice experience to have. :)

Just wanted to share. Near 900 miles in 2 days, and my butt isn't the least bit sore. The LGT is a very, very nice car.

I was just in Pasco, Washington Drove to denver 1200+ miles one day stayed the next day in Denver and drove out Yesterday to Brainerd, Minnesota 1100 miles. All in the F350 pulling a 40' trailer, in a few days I am going to International Falls, MN. which is about a mile or two from the canada border. Then I get to drive back the week after next and off somewhere else. I travel all over with my job have been in the continental US from South Carolina to California.

Not saying your trip was small but I put an average of 2000 per trip there and back about once a month or so.

That sounds like an awesome trip! Twice the entertainment for you guys! I am making a road trip next summer, I hope to see some funny or cool stuff go down. I will be driving to New Jersey, so there will be plenty of space for some fun I'm sure. B20, what the hell do you do for a living that requires all that driving?!

I'm from that area - Hibbing, MN - about 1/2 between Int'l Falls and Duluth. ;)

Sounded like a fun roadtrip.

Saw 'em in the '80s and a show in the mid '90s and yes, they do still rock for a couple of "old" ladies.

"Barracuda" will be in Guitar Hero III.

:SIGH: sounds like a fun trip and a kickass concert.

We're still contemplating going to Journey/Stix/Foreigner at Fiddler's but we're undecided....

I heard that the new Journey singer sounds almost identical to Steve Perry. I bet it would be worthwhile even if its missing those high notes Lou Gramm USED to be able to hit.
