Nice :) I had HID's when I had my Gixxer, cars HATED me because the 03 ran both beams unlike the 02's one beam. You're making me want a bike again :)

The kit I bought had 2 bulbs and 2 ballasts. I can run the high beam as an HID if I really wanted to, but that's a little redundant and ridiculous, I think.

Most cagers hate sportbike riders anyway. I see it as a safety mod - I've been swerved at more times than I can count because of some inattentive bitch who didn't see me. Might as well make it so they can. :D

It's kinda hard to capture on camera - but the high beam is just as bright as the HID bulb. It's ridiculous.

Very nice. Id love to do HID's on mine. I at least need to change the bulbs out to Silverstars for the time being.

Sweet. I have HID's on both my high and low beams. I love them, one of the best mods I've done.
Are yours 6000k?

I'm surprised at how blue they are... but they're supposed to be 4300k.

Yeah... I know. The bike got knocked over in the garage - destroying my new windscreen and the right mirror in the process. :(

Changing my spark plugs made a bigger difference than the map I currently have loaded in the PCIII. In all honesty, with everything I've read about the Rapid Bike system, I'm considering selling the PC and going with that and a custom dyno tune. But in any event, I don't expect any REAL results with an off-the-shelf map anyway.

They don't make HIDs for my bike either - but I simply bought a generic plug and play kit with the bulb size I needed. Running an HID bulb in a reflector housing doesn't give you the accurate light output that retrofitting a projector does, but whatever. I can see better, and that's all that matters.

Install was pretty easy.
-Replace bulb
-Mount ballast
-Run wires
-Plug in
I doubt I'll be running projectors this season. I may consider retrofitting TSX ones into the housings this winter, but that's going to depend on my motivation level. The car is going to become a high priority once the weather starts getting colder.
So, did you have to order bulbs that were designed for the bike? Or was it like a universal fitting bulb?

Uh, bulbs are bulbs. My bike uses H7 bulbs, so I bought an H7 kit. The fact that they're in a bike vs. a car doesn't matter. The kit I ordered was "for a car" because it included a wiring harness, 2 ballasts, and 2 bulbs.
Gotcha. I don't know anything about headlight bulbs... I never have to replace them... always had good luck for some reason.

Once you go HIDs, you'll never go back.
That's what your mother said.

S2000 projectors are the best low beam projectors that retrofitters use. They are fairly small and have a very wide beam pattern. I did a retro on my Del Sol and I agree once you go HID you never go back.
