Dash light stay on constantly.

I just got finished tucking my battery cables(battery was relocated cheaply) When I got everything put back together and my damn Dash Light/Instrument panel illuminated immediatly after hooking up the battery. The healights and such work fine, the funny thing is when I turn on my headlights, the damn dash lights shut off. I pulled the fuse and it looked fine. Im going to put the battery back under the hood today. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

You may have crossed a wire or piunched one somewhere causing a short to power.
