If I could afford the entry price then I could afford to add the other 100 or more ponies Honda should've included. Still an awesome handbuilt car and not everybody has one and it's great in the twisties. Still one of the coolest looking cars that really changed little in it's 16 years or existence.

nice looking car, but very pricey. I'd be ok with a nice looking S2K.

For 80k I'd definitely buy a list of cars before an NSX.
I remember when I out-dyno'd the supercharged one at TC's dyno day last year. That was a great experience.

I cant argue that $70k is a pretty hard pill to swallow on a car of this sort. but if you guys had ever driven one you would understand the appeal. Used ones are going for mid 30s in good condition. Im not a nut swinger in any form but the NSX is definatly on the list of cars I will own someday.

My buddy just bought a yellow one of the same body style, still haven't ridden in his yet though.

Have fun working on it. They have this crazy setup with a bolt on each corner to hold the body to the chassis. If they are not lined up just right, the body could slip of during driving. Imagine explaining that to the insurance guy LOLz

I guess that car doesn't depreciate? I'd rather have an older one with 30k on it for 30k. As long as it has the 3.2, I'm set.

The last gen turbo MR2 has the poor man's Ferrari moniker and it fits the best since the MR2 wasn't a pretender.

NSX-Rs were only available as a JDM car and was never released in the states;we got the limited Alex Zanardi ediition which is close to the JDM Type S version.

I do get bored of the people bagging on the cost vs it's 1/4 mile time and basing opinions on that one fact.
I guess a half mil ferrari is a stupid buy when you can buy a Z06 and throw a few more thousand into it and whoop the Enzo's ass.
Only real enthusisasts get the NSX and people who only drive in a straight line are ingnorant of the NSX's blessings.

It's just so underpowered for the money. There are better handling more powerful cars for the price (my garage). I do like the way they look, and having one is pretty rare. If you can find a used one for half price I would go for it, but 70K is just too much for what they offer.

Really? I've driven one, and for the money I stand by my comment firmly. My car outperforms an NSX in every category

How do you judge HPs vs $? Is an Enzo worth the $$ when you can take a Z06 and run with one? (or pretty close) A Porsche 911 is also a another pricey car that looks overpriced compared to a Vette but it is a Porsche.
An NSX is also about a little exclusivity and sitting still it gets the attention the cheaper cars don't and even some more pricey ones. If I was in the market to afford an NSX and had a couple of other toys for straight line performance I'd buy one.

Except that in the NSX you most lilkely won't be seeing one next to you at a stoplight. NSXs are still cool in my book and mid engine two-seater makes it even sweeter but like I said it could use another 100 ponies or maybe even 200. Also forced induction can be added to the NSX to help with the lack of ponies.
Stilll a little pricey at $60k but SC'd
