If anyone is thinking about buying Roxio's Easy Media Creator 9, you might as well just throw your money into a fire. The older versions were apparently good, but this one is just plain pathetic.
I installed it and then my computer wouldn't boot, not even in safe mode. It would just go into an endless loop of rebooting itself. The only option to get it to actually boot Windows is to use the last known good configuration, but none of the Roxio apps will even attempt to function after that, so all you can do is uninstall it. This is with a pretty recent load of Windows XP SP2. So then I try to go to their support website that's printed on the CD jacket, but that doesn't even work. So instead I go to Roxio.com and click on their support option and go to register, only to discover that it's broken too! What a fucking worthless software company! I went to their support forum and discovered that many other people are having the same problem, as well as an assortment of other major problems.I would just return it and get my money back, but damn Circuit City doesn't do returns on software... only exchanges for the same software title, which is completely pointless.
Needless to say, I don't think I'll ever buy a Roxio product ever again. What a pile of crap!
