I am new to the JRSC ownership arena and have a few questions. For those of you who have the 10psi pulley, what does your boost gauge show at full boost?
Any dyno numbers and times would be good to list here also.
My numbers:
2000 civic Si JRSC @ 10 psi (actually 7-8)
on 104 octane race gas and some light tuning I got 209 @ the wheels.
Best time to date: 14.8 @91. (soon to change)
So far I have sucessfully installed the JRMC and V-AFC together to tune with an dhave no check engine lights. It is so easy to tune its crazy. the car feels really strong and should be good for some low 14 second runs.

there are a lot of bulletins on the AC in 95. Whats it doing?
Maybe I can help you chill a little better.

just not real cold. I bought the whole kit from a dealler in albuquerque, we were doing their used car stereo work. They gave me a print out of the manual, I installed it, then had it charged at a refrigeration place up the street (the dealler recomended them, and my boss knew the guy) it wouldn't get cold. We troubleshot it for about 30 minutes before we relized that the condenser fan was blowing backwards ( blowing nice hot air off the header... stupid honda ;) ) so we switched the wiring on the fan, now it is a little cooler. It works OK if I pull out of the garage, crank up the air, and drive around, but once the car sits in the sun and gets hot, its like the AC can't catch up. The air out of the vents is cool, but nowhere near COLD...

In Hondas manuals it says if the car is in the sun it makes it hard for an ailing system to get cold, shit its even hard for a perfectly running system to get cold in our summers. if you want to bring it by the shop sometime I can fuck with it and see if there is anything I can do to make it chill your balls better.

Sweet! no check engine light. Did you advance the timing?

well I messed around witht he timing on the dyno and I found that the most power to be had was at stock timing so it is stock.
There is absolutly no pinging but its prolly because of the 104 gas im running. It smells purdy too.

damn Tobi, i only got 175 to the wheels.. but my rpms max out at 7.3k...
and boost was pulling 11 psi at our altitude..
and i was using pump gas too(premium)
what rpm's was that hp # at?
and what was the torque peak?:drink:

My boost gauge was almost dead on 10 psi with that pulley. 9 psi if it was hot out. Make sure neither of your belts are slipping at all. You should have an extra couple psi in there.

I usually get about 7ish on the gauge for an 8 PSI pulley in the summer... come winter, the gauge usually show more from the denser air.

i don't have a boost gauge yet. But soon I'll be getting Hector's old stuff.
Tobi, are you doing the vafc hack or just using the vafc regularly?

No hack. My rpm peaks at 8k(rev limiter) and the HP is still climbing. I dont have the torque figures on hand.
