Well, i have the motor ( 97 h22a4 ) with complete uncut harness, etc...every basically. My issue is that im not so sure what im missing to drop her in.

The car....97 OBDII 5spd accord/cl

Id like to stay obdII. I do not plan to tune to much......just need a clean swap but if my options dont permit me....lmk what i can do.

The h22a4 motor requires a p13 from 96 without the immobilzer....but im finding it DAM hard to find one. What are my options ? p5m and get the key, modual and ignition ?

aside from the ecu, what changes in wiring or engine need to be made for this to be a sucess. I dont think swaping pins is an issue if i can use the h22 harness.

Can i use the h22 harness ?

go obd-1 p13 and obd-2 to obd-1 ecu convervion harness or get a obd-2 p72 from a gsr.

will the p72 run the engine correctly ? Taking the engine to OBD1 requires me to change the dizzy and oilpump correct ? if so, obd1 usdm dizzy ?

nah, just use the conversion harness and ecu. i have a h22a4 in my 97 civic and have run it off a p72 with no problems, no cel's. p72/gsr is only one that has iab's like the h22 and no immbolizer

So your telling me that if i use a OBDI P72 ( any specific year ? ) with a OBDII-OBDI conversion harness off the H22a4's wiring harness, i dont have to mess with the external coil, ckp sensors etc.........i can simply buy a p72, have it chipped for hondata, chrome etc....with a conversion harness and be fine ? Thats a dam simple solution i guess.

I think the issue with this was that the car was obdII, but then i realized it doesnt matter since the powerplant has its own OBDII harness.

Things to make this work:

any year p72 OBDI socketed for hondata then tuned ( to get around the vtec issue )
Bullfrog harness or other conversion harness OBDIIa-OBD1

yep, that's what i did, except i have a obd-1 p13. i got my harness from importsports, can proably find it else where,i just went to what was close and ordered a skunk2 chipped obd-1 p13 off ebaymotors.
