Well I need the 4 Guage to Run my Battery Cable Further back in my REX. The current Cable is Extremely thick and Hard as shit to move and bend and such, not to mention hiding wire. Does it Matter what Kind I use?

Shouldn't be an issue. Just use regular Car Audio 4 Gauge. I redid my whole car in that.

I thought the 0 ga was the best to use, and the 4 got real warm, started fires, etc.

Maybe I should use a little bigger then 4 Gauge. IS 0 gauage usually hard to work with?(stiff and hard to bend?)

Oops, That is actually what I used. 0 gauge to a disti block, then from the block to the motor (alt, starter, fuse box) I relocated mine to the trunk along with full wire tuck.

So it's definetly not a good idea to use the 4 ga wire?

I'm by no means an electrical expert but using 4 ga wire for a battery relocation to the back of the trunk seems iffy. I'd rather much spend the few extra bucks on 0 ga and play it safe and not be sorry.

Yeah I agree better safe than sorry is only wise. The only reason I would like a solid answer is because I have about 16' of 4ga that's just been sitting around for about a year now, and I could definetly use the extra space under the hood of the little ef. So anyone know for sure?

So all you plan on doing is relocating the battery to the trunk? If all you are going to do is run the 4 ga from the trunk to the fuse box (i think thats where it needs to go) you should be just fine. Use an inline fuse as well.

Alright cool, thanks Pete. It needs to be ran to the starter actually. Do you think this will be a problem, since it's at this location instead of the fuse panel?

Is 0 gauge easy to work with? Also when I put the Battery Box in can I just drill the mounting strap screw into the Metal in the back? Any tips on a better way?

You are obviously a smart person. ^-- great idea..and one HELL of a lot cheaper than overpriced stuff at a stereo shop.

It depends on how much current you draw.

I thought the 0 ga was the best to use, and the 4 got real warm, started fires, etc.

If you are doing a battery relocation, I'd suggest much beefier wire that 4 gauge. Zero gauge will be much safer, or use the advice given above and get some welding cables.
