Anyway, I'm waiting on other people's videos before I post Sunday's stuff, since it would be far more interesting with multiple cameras. As for Saturday's video, my MPEG 4 recorder still doesn't respond to any of the controls, so apparently something is broken. The good news is that I was able to write a program to recover those files from the SD card. The only problem is that the MPEG 4 headers weren't finalized so they wont play. I'll be working on trying to reconstruct them...

I was the one passing you on the inside, holding a tighter line, and pushing my nearly stock suspension to the limit... oil all over the track was a pretty big problem for me.

It depends on the organization, the class, and the cars. The 944 bumpers are perfect for it, but most other cars have bumper covers which could end up with cosmetic damage. You'll see it mostly in closely matched classes like 944-Spec and Spec Miata, where the class rules and the racing organization don't explicitly prohibit it... NASA is cool with it in wheel-to-wheel race groups as long as we don't get reckless with it (we kept the bumping soft and in acceleration zones on the straights), SCCA I believe is more strict, and PCA uses the ridiculously strict 13/13 rule for every class.
