My Exhaust "cutout"...

This isn't the best pic but I thought I would show you guys my alternative to having to do a full 3" exhaust. Since I try not to street race I wanted an quick way to open up my exhaust and run open downpipe at the track. This dump can be accessed by reaching in front of the passenger side tire and the cap can be removed by 3 wingnuts. My stock exhaust is more restrictive then I thought, it drops my boost by 2psi and the turbo spools a lot slower as well. This setup seems to work pretty well so far...

No.
It's placed more towards the front of the car, well away from the wheel. it just dumps underneath the car.

i've seen some cable actuated y pipes, just a pull & you can be dumpin all that pollutin goodness into the atmosphere & kickin ass at the same time!

I like the manual version of a dump tube better then the cable actuated one. I didn't want to run any cable etc. And plus, I got hooked up FAT on the parts and labor on this thing. See, the "new kid" at the exhaust shop did the work(really good work, he is really good, I was impressed) and it took a long time so the main guy let me out the door for about $30:) Worth 3 times that in my book:)
I love it so far, works really well.
