Motor oil for turbo Acura

I have gotten mixed reviews on whether to go with synthetic or conventional oil with a turbocharged car during my searching. Anyone have suggestions or insight on this topic? I have been looking at Mobil 1 syntec 10w-30, it atleast says it's for use in turbocharged engines on the back :) Any particular weight I should go with or brand? Thanks for the help.

mobil 1 5W-30, me and korny use it, and after dissasembling his engin (25k) there was absoultly no residue.

5w-30, changed oil every 2500 miles.

I have always run conventional Castrol GTX 10w30 on all my boosted cars. I have seen no ill effects at all in a combined 50,000 plus miles.

i thought i read somewhere that turbo'd cars need to run 10w30 because 5weight will just burn up way too easily in the turbo.

On a side note, should I run some synthetic through my engine for a bit before installing the turbo? It has only seen conventional oil so far...

Cool. So should I run some Mobil 1 through the motor before going turbo? Or just put in the synthetic when doing the install. I'm only asking because I've heard that you should gradually make the change to synthetic oil, like starting with a semi-synthetic blend...

If I drove an Import I would use Mobil 1 10w30.

Domestic would be Valvoline Full Syn 5w30.

mobil 1, if ferreri's f-1 team uses it, i think that it will be good enuf for me.

Mobil 1 it is. T-minus approximately 3-4 weeks to turbo install :p
