Is nitrous flammable, I did a search on Honda-tech but did not find anything. My cousin and I have a disagreement, but neither one of us really knows. Please include the basics of how nitrous does its thing.

It is an oxidizer which means it is not flammable by itself but mix it with anything that can be considered a fuel and add an ignition source and BOOM!

They use the nitrogen atoms to controll the oxygen burn. They used to use pure oxygen i nthe early space days of NASA. They found out the hard way that it blows up big time when under pressure. After that incident they started using a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen to slow the burn so to speak.

AFAIK it's technically illegal to carry it around in your trunk without a hazardous chemicals sticker or license or some crap like that.
