You probably didn't install the signal (probably green or some color which is not red or black) to the proper wire on the ECU.

an A/F gauge hooked to a narrow band o2 sensor is just a ricer light show.

but i agree with m@ you didnt put the signal in the right pin.

oh.

well the green colored wire said it went to the white wire(tapped into) on the O2 sensor? could that be it? do i need to put it to the wire on the ecu? i put it straight to the o2.

It will be the same either way. Might just be a shitty gauge.

With the car off and the key in the ignition the light should be in the middle.. if not you got the wrong source.

Ive got an analog gauge, had it hooked to stock narrowband for a while.. and while yes it was a big lightshow it was still usefull data, when the lightshow started acting abnormal I usally found a boost leak, bad maf, or something else that would throw off my AFR's.. I have a wideband for my ECU but sampling from ECU is slow and I couldent tap a gauge to work with it..

Now I have a LC-1 so I have 2 widebands, I installed it but havent had a chance to use it as I am still waiting on tubing for my water/meth kit.. Now the lights should just creep arround instead of flying from one end of the spectrum to the other..

timing is off, bad o2 sensor, leaky injector, tps is off, or bad fuel regulator
