I have an 89 crx hf and today it failed the CO part of the emissions... the limit is 20.000 and it got 45.9939. What can I do to help it pass? New air filter, PCV Valve?...

i would change the pcv valve, there cheap and supposed to be changed every 25k or so even though nobody does it. also simple things like fresh oil help you run cleaner since youll have less load on the motor, but yeah check your air filter, you should see some spots on it if your pcv is really bad.
im assuming you have somewhat new spark plugs as well?
good luck

There is only one reason a car will fail for CO, its running too rich. Now the reasons it could be running too rich is a long list. Has the oil been changed recently? Is the O2 sensor working properly? Does it run smoothly or does it have a misfire? Etc....

If the car seems to run alright, check out the air filter and O2 sensor. A clogged air filter can cause you to run a little rich. Many people think O2 sensors can't make much of a difference, but when mine was dead, my emissions test failed with 114 on CO and 6.5 on HC. With a new O2 sensor, I got those down to well under the limits.

A bad cat and tune up cant cause a car to fail for carbon monoxide (CO). See threads above^^^
