I had a full time racer guy come in yesterday, he told me that a new race track will be completed next year off I-70. I couldnt get into more details with him but is this true?

I've been planning on getting an SCCA license and buy/build a track car but decided not to when 2nd creek closed. Now if we'll have a track near-by I'll actually get involved.

There's another one in the process of being built off of 36 east of Denver.

thats sounds pretty nice, that would be pretty cool to have an actual track to race at. I was only able to get 1 run in at second creek. I really want a nice dirt rally type of track

I've heard of three projects out East, off of I-70, but we're still waiting to see someone break ground. Here are the two that I can remember:

theres an old abandoned circle track just off smith road right before c-470. it's irrelavent but i thought it was cool. found out about while riding my dirt bike around.

it would definatly be cool to have a track out east here.

There is a large one, and a small one at C.O.R.E. in Eastern Colorado.

Colorado Off Road Extreme

There's a complete on in Pueblo. Come on down.

Yeah. The small track is like the dirt equivalent of an SCCA trial track. The large track is like Second Creek in the dirt.

Right after you fund one of them...

What makes these take so long is that they're pretty big plans. Most of us would be happy with just throwing some asphalt down in the shape of a track... the nice expensive facilities and whatnot can come later.

I looked at both websites and I don't understand wtf they are doing at all.

This should be a business venture not a charity. Their development plans need to be downsized significantly. Lets start with 1 normal race track that will bring traffic to the area and generate some revenue. The growth needs to be organic. With the size of these developments, they're undertaking huge amounts of risk.
