My mom and wetn Kayaking down a natural springs river a bit north of tampa and came upon this gator sunning himself and we got within 5 feet of him.

The water was so clear and we probably saw about 100 turtles,a couple of snakes and plenty of waterfowl.

I know there was some element of danger but I'll never get to be in that situation again and get great pics and even got a vid. Living safe all the time is boring.

You should be more nervous driving on any highway in Colorado. Odds are you'll get in a wreck before i'm lunch for a gator. Honestly,I had no fear or maybe conveniant ignorance but I lived to show these pics. ;)

There is a billboard by my house that says, "A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not what ship are built for." I think it's advertising Red Rocks Community College, but it rocks either way.

on another note though does anyone own a dwarf caiman? ive been wanting one but i dont have a tank large enough.
