That article was from years ago. That guy had one of the very first SCs, while JR was still working out some of the kinks in the system... call it sort of a beta test if you will. They've come a long way now and their products last a long time. Just talk to Brian or Steve or Rico about it, and maybe ask Tobi now that he's got one on Project SI. As long as you tune them right the first time and stop fucking with it and wanting to go faster/extract more power, they work great... it's when you test this and test that that you run into more compounded problems. I can attest for my car being a SOHC and running mid-high 15s that the JR kit works great.

Two years on the car here and not a a single problem. I know that guy from another board (a primarily JRSC user board) and IMO it's an isolated incident.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say nobody should be putting FI on a Honda if that's thier only car. There's always going to be some down time now and then and if you're stuck without a ride because of modifying your car, maybe you should have spent part of the money for a FI kit on a beater ride to get to and from work or school.

i always have at least 2 cars,i know that the s/c civic i have is pretty reliable. But there are always things that come up,here and there.. so even though it's expensive, i recommend owning another car.:smashfrea

I went nearly 3 years with mine and had 0 problems. Two of those years were running it at 10 psi with a completely stock motor. Very reeliable product.
