In the winter season as it gets very dry.

We have a 180gal saltwater aquarium that evaporates about 6 gallons a day into the house so that helps keep some of the dryness down.

Yes. Not quite as necessary for me in the summer, but in the winter I'll dry out like a prune. Because of that, I get used to the noise..so I just keep it full all year long.

Doesn't that smell up the place?
My tanks prolly evaporate 10-20 gallons a week... but man, that's crazy.

I love the white noise from them, so I use mine constantly. Not for the humidity ( I live 2 seconds from the beach) but the noise lets me sleep all day

I work nites and I have to have a fan running in the day for the same reason.

I basically live in the rain forest of the north, no need for one.

Same as above, 180 gallon saltwater aquarium helps keep things humid. :)
Yes - we use small ultrasonic humidifiers in our bedrooms during the winter, putting about a gallon of distilled water into each room each night.

nope, but it's not a bad idea... sometimes (especially during the winter) my skin gets soooo dry.

My skin and body in general felt 100 percent better when I was in mexico. I can't wait to get out of this dry ass climate.

yeah, same thing when we were in Florida... I was like "wow, I don't have to put lotion on after my shower, this is great!"

I don't have any skin problems or anything like that.
My only problem is that I wake up feeling like shit because my nose is congested and my throat is very dry. It's mostly to do with allergies but someone told me a humidifier in my room would help.
