Thats good. Maybe poeple will think twice before being a dumbass. Good drivers won't have to worry. Though the cell phone and seatbelts thing is a lil too harsh.

I think they should do similar things here maybe not quite so harsh but they should still be looked at.

Yeah, I'd be totally down with the first three though. Maybe idiots will stop cutting me off and blocking traffic.

I wish Colorado would make red light running offenses harsher since we have a real problem here.

Those laws should be in effect everywhere in the US.

I really wish people would stop thinking ridiculous fines and penalties for chicken shit tickets was a good thing just because some guy cut them off on their way to work this morning.

:werd: When was the last time you heard of someone getting a ticket and actually paying the *entire* fine? Go into court, have it plea bargained down to 1 pt for "illegal lane change" and $100. Done.

We don't really have any traffic "problems" here; take a trip and try driving in Phoenix or even LA in rush hour -- when you get back you'll be much more calm...

Head over to New York if you guys think Colorado is bad. Traffic and driving is nothing here in comparison. You have to be a freakin stunt car driver to survuve a day behind the wheel in NYC

i think forcing people into deeper debt with the inability to pay their bills because they went into the "wrong lane" is a pretty fair trade

We don't have problems, just a bunch of impatient morons that increase the chance of an accident by stupid driving.

As far as plea bargains, they will almost always plea the points down. But the court system will never plea the fine down. They will get the full amount fromn you, if you can't pay it, they will arrange a payment plan.

As far as these fines breaking people, don't drive like shit. It reminds me of what my friends dad told me when I was young, drive as fast and as stupid as you can afford to.

yeah the traffic laws gotten stricter, but the worst is getting caught street racing. My friend just got back from cali and he said if you get caught racing in any way, they crush your car.

Those laws are totally different from Iowa's. There are some laws in co that I have never heard of until people from hai told me about them. I think the only one I really agree with is the cellphone law. People in Iowa are always on their cellphones and thats what causes the most accidents because of cellphones and people not paying attention to the road.
