A man was beaten to death after the car in which he was travelling struck and injured a child in a neighbourhood in which thousands were celebrating the emancipation of slaves.

Police moved to calm tensions between the black and Latino communities in Austin, Texas, insisting that there was no suggestion of a “hate crime” against the Hispanic victim.

The incident happened when David Morales, 41, was being driven home by a colleague through a housing estate in the city. Two blocks away, a 3,000-strong crowd was celebrating “Juneteenth” – the day in 1865 when General Gordon Granger arrived in the town of Galveston to deliver the news of the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared all Texas slaves to be free. City celebrations featured a parade, a motorcycle show, music, food, and events for children.

When the car in which Mr Morales was travelling struck a two-year-old boy, a crowd gathered, many or all of them thought to be African-American. The driver, identified only as “Victor”, got out and was the first to be attacked. Mr Morales tried to shield his friend, but Victor escaped, and Mr Morales was beaten to death. No weapons were used.

“I’ve been doing this for 28 years. This is the first time I can ever recall something like this,” said Commander Harold Piatt, in charge of the Austin Police Department’s homicide division. “It’s sad for the city.” Mr Piatt insisted that the beating had nothing to do with Mr Morales’s being Hispanic.

“It’s not a hate crime,” he said. “It’s not racially motivated in any way. The assault has nothing to do with the Juneteenth celebration.” So far, Victor is the only known witness to the beating and the police in Austin have avoided confirming reports that the attackers were black.

Victor managed to drive away from the scene and was found by police later, and held for questioning for more than 24-hours. The two-year-old-child, Michael Hosea Jr, was not seriously hurt

That's why ;NutKick;

Taking this text out of context makes it even more relavent:

“We need to remove the animals from our community. Those people who don’t treat others humanely have to be removed.”

If my opinion offends you, fuck yourself.

While its fucked up, if someone hit my daughter or son in traffic and it was their fault, I would kill them, and any who tried to defend that person. When it comes to family, its not eye for an eye, its you're life for an eye. And any other lives I deem neccesary.

The kid wasn't even hurt. I'm about to be a parent, and as much as I understand your anger, I think I'd be more worried about making sure that my kid was okay before I took the time to try and beat someone up.

When I was still living at my parents house a while ago, one of my neighbors' daughters was backed into by another neighbor that had just moved in. My first thought was to run over and make sure she was ok, and immediately get on the phone with 911. Making sure kid is ok > blind rage.

Beating the PASSENGER to death really, really brings a ton of other ridiculous memories of fucked up senseless violence of ghetto fucks like this, mainly the billions of horror stories from katrina. And people wonder why the stereotype exists?

Exactly.

I mean sure, blah blah the parents being mad, but I would bet the people that did the beating weren't even related. In fact, I bet you they didn't even know the kid at all. Some may not have even known what happened.

Another city entirely:

I guess it could be said that people in large groups are dangerous no matter what the race, but... haha

This is what an insurance policy says:
Exclusions:
3. Loss due to or as a consequence of:
a. radioactive contamination:
b. Discharge of any nuclear weapon (even if accidental):
c. war (declared or undeclared):
d. civil war:
e. insurrection: or
f. rebellion or revolution.

Here is the definition of insurrection: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/insurrection

Exclusions of liability? What's that mean?

Also, lol.

If there is any damage to your vehicle from any of the things listed above, your insurance doesn't cover it.

I guess there isn't any, because any race of people in America could turn a celibration of thier recent (historically speaking) freedom into mobbing and killing an innocent man.

So,what if it wasn't the driver's fault? You kill that guy then you go to prison making it hard on your family that is living. You need to think before you kill. :)

that's fucked up

It's like that because insurance is to cover you for sudden and accidental losses. You leave your car in a war zone, or near where a nuke or radiation is, it will not be a surprise when it gets damaged. Same thing as not winterizing a boat motor and the heads crack.

Yeah, good point.
