95mph? why did he let off the throttle?
Aracheon
06-21-2007, 07:12 AM
He didn't. The ECM has a top speed limiter that he hasn't figured out how to get around yet. He hits 88mph at the 1/8th mile, and tops out just a few feet after that and ends up coasting across the finish.

Does it pull the front end off the ground we he launches?
I was wondering about that trap speed. I'd trap 106 and only run a high 13. :(

Did you by chance see any serious shit when he hit 88mph?

I like it except the duals out the bed that shit is just plain irritating to me! I never understood that like the guys that throw a 6" exhaust on something that comes from a 3" DP flange?

If he gets that speed limiter removed he's going to pull some serious times in that thing. I wouldn't want to mess with him (unless he wants a top speed run :) )

Does he ever just tow shit with it?
I think it would be cool to see that thing tow a 15000lb trailer on the highway

Nope... but it does spin all 4 tires well past the 60' mark.

I'll have to take pictures of the exhaust setup the next time he blows a compressor housing. The exhaust is 5" right off the turbo, and I guess when you're running 70psi on a compound twin-turbo setup and over 25bar of fuel pressure you need something that'll vent all that nasty shit.

Yes. The truck is built for sled pulling, not drag racing. And I believe those things weigh 30,000lbs if I remember correctly.

It runs like a champ just had the heater core replaced and an oil leak fixed other than that I will run her till she dies, or costs more than 5k to fix it. Then I will get one of the new 6.4L twin turbo F350's Yeah!

So when that thing moves forward it puts more pressure on his rear axles causing him to slow down?
Martian

yes on the sled pull.
Is it possible to post up a time slip of the 12 second run. I'd like to see the 1/8 and 1000'

You DO NOT want to buy one of those piles of shit. Do some research before you even think of getting one, they suck more then Weston in a gay club. I almost traded in my 05 F350 6.0 until I actually did some reading, if I ever buy another new diesel, it'll definately be a Dodge.

It's pretty obvious that's what happens.

He's not home for me to get a pic of the faster run, but here's the slip of the run beforehand:

I should get another 100k on my truck before it takes a shit on me, I am good to her do 100% of the recomended to it. By the time I get a new one the I think the bugs and shit will be worked out. The 6.0's sucked ass the first year they came out as well. I like the dodge motor but the rest of the truck :frown:

You'll prolly get more mileage then that but who knows. My 6.0 is a beast, I've had not one single problem with it, it's been chipped, 5" exhaust, propaned and re-turboed and I beat on it on a daily basis, tow heavy ass boats, play in the mud, pretty much tear shit up in it, not a single problem.
