Attempt at networking here.

97-01 Cherokee Sport 4x4.

MUST HAVE a 5spd transmission.

2 or 4 door... doesn't mattah.

Looking for one that's already lifted.

Dark Blue or White would kick ass.

Hook me up w/ info if you know of one. In the Springs is cool w/ out pics, but if it's in Denver I'd really like some pictures and/or first hand vouch from one of you.

Prolly a long shot... but F* it!

TIA.

An older cherokee just sold on here for uber cheap. It was blue and lifted. You should have picked that one up.

I'm just curious why you want a 5speed?

Hey man, I have a 88 Cherokee, white. Clean body, those factory 5 spoke rims, 80's red interior. 300k miles on original motor i think. 4 point oh, runs like shit, but runs. Its been sitting, was going to rebuild the motor for a camp rig, but just checking. Way less than a G.

I miss the manual tranny.

Carl: I'm looking for something to replace my truck... ie: something that doesn't need a whole lot of work. No majoy worries type of vehicle. Thanx though.

Thanx for the link Smith. I checked out the classifieds section for CO... but nothing available (yet). That's a bad ass site though.

I'm not looking for a wheel'n vehicle. One that's capable of some entry level adventures is cool... but I don't want/need a trail only rig. I want the interior space, 4x4, ease of maintenance and ability to tow the boat (4L), plus I like the look of a lifted XJ.

For the record, the interior of an XJ is a lot smaller than one might think. Make sure you check out the inside of one before you buy one.

More room than a single cab chevy pickup.

I was thinking about considering the Grand Cherokee Laredo with the I6. No manual tranny... but damn if they're not comfy.

Maintenance is not always cheap with a 4x4. Remember that when its fluid changing time thats 4 boxes at once, not including the engine.

I own a 4x4 right now.

What all are you changing that requires 4 boxes at once?

The fluid man! the fluid....

I read that much.

So you're chaning the oil, tranny fluid, transfer, diffs, radiator ALL at the same time?

front diff, rear diff, transfer case, manual tranny case (if you have a manual) I did do the engine last weekend and I learned that my Rover takes 8 quarts, and it shocked me so it might have something to do with maintenance rants...sorry...

No apology necessary. I was just curious as I've never gone through 4 boxes all at once.

I don't change ALL the fluids every time I do oil though... that'd burn a hole right through the wallet!

I usually check the fluid levels & condition (except the transfer & diffs) when I do oil... but don't have to swap em out nearly as often.... thankfully.

Yeah, if I buy a used vehicle I personally like to change them all out as a piece of mind. I feel much better knowing for sure that the gear oil is not full of little bits of metal.

Ahhh.... I C. As purchasing a used vehicle. Makes sense than.
