I got a CF VIS hood but lately it has started to get a weird haze on it any ways to fix it. The hood looks like shit./

this happened to my g/f's VIS hood on her prelude.

You are going to have to have it clearcoated, it will take care of the problem. we tried multiple things to take care of it, but nothing else worked, so I just resprayed it.

I tried the marine polish first, but I got it lookin good for like 2 weeks.

Maybe it will work good for you though....

The key is to get some protection on it after you polish it. That will keep it looking good longer. Like the link posted above, if it's not cleared then use a marine product made for gel coat. Follow that with some wax. Meguiar's NXT is easy to use and has good durability.

Usually if you have them buffed it will take most of the haze out. My VIS i had did this as well, i dont know if its the gel coat they use or what, but my one from JDMShit.com didnt do it at all.

I used a mild rubbing compound and about 2 coats of wax after that and it looks brand new still after 2 months!

mine looked good for a couple weeks after I got it buffed and then started to look like crap again... I'm glad I have an OEM hood back on my car. I'll never buy another cf hood.

Yeah buddy ive tried everything and the max was a few months that it looked decent but not the best. The best thing is to re clear coat it cause they need to sand down the clear coat to where its not hazey anymore, then apply a new coat.
