A buddy of mine has a 95 civic EX with the Greddy bolt-on turbo kit. He will boost to 9 lbs. but it will fall back down to 6 lbs. and stay there. we have gone over everything but have found no solutions to this problem. So we are stuck and would like to hear some other suggestions. thanks :Peace:

maybe 9PSI is just a spike, the wastegate is probably set to 6PSI.

yep, sounds like another satisfied recycled 18g user. i have the greddy kit on my gsr and have the same problum. the stock spring at our altitude regulates to about 6.5 psi. the 9 psi is just a spike. i have the same problum at 16 psi, it will spike to 18-20, dive to about 14, and then return to 16 just before i shift. the problum is in the mitsu's internal wastegate. I called greddy about this problum a while back and they said that the answer lies in a external wastegate, and manifold. good buy to another $400-600. by the way i am using a blitz dsbc controler witch is not the problum. the internal needs to be welded shut, and aborted.

interesting...surprised that they would admit there was a problem with their hardware. Of course..the world of super hot spinning turbines isnt always definate. :p

I agree with this one. Some of the VW guys can attest to this too

uh... all he needs is a cheap as throttle return spring from NAPA.
Just use that to "pull" the gate closed. This increases the amount of force needed to open the gate and reduces the tendency of the gate to blow open.
It looks ghetto... but works.
