I've said it once and I'll say it again...why cuz I'm bitter right now....I've had the place racing mounts in my crx for about 2 years now with my crx and they suck!!! I've seen plenty other ones (HCP, Hasport, and MAD) and they are all better...motor sits farther back (better for turbo) and they don't vibrate as bad

place racing comes in that gay blue also..i painted mine cuz i got sick of them....they have lifetime warranty and the inserts on both the side mounts are starting to come out....that sucks!!!

so I'm just going with MAD mounts now

Oh get this I got that place racing front crossmember for my car also

GAY!!!!!
that thing sucks I had to backyard special that beeyatch to make it fit (my motto, make it fit) and the front tranny mount it came with as a bonus doesn't even line up and I have THEIR mount kit

GAY GAY GAY

moral of my ranting and raving....if you got a lil death trap...err crx and are doing a swap...save up and buy a JDM crx for $4800 shipped...J/K....get HCP's or MAD engineering mounts...too many 1st hand horror stories about hasports

I'm getting MAD mounts for $280 at CRD in the springs cuz they is cheap and a good buddy of mine has seen them in action and loves them

I'm going to have before and after pics with place mounts and mad mounts....the pics will show how sorry my place mounts got and some pics of their crossmember...all in due time

I can say that a soldier of mine grew up with the guys that started CRD, and they did his CRX. It runs really strong, but the bodykit needs work. Ive heard they have pretty good pricing when it comes to stuff and for there age they are really knowlegable. But they dont like DSM's...I think theyre scared;)

that's kinda funny cuz their #1 mechanic is my good bro...and dsms are just a pain in the ass t work on compared to hondas..allegedly...hahaha my attorney tells me to say that in every sentence hahahaha

no most things on dsms are pain in the ass...fr example u need a freakin puller to get off the crank pulley....I can vouch cuz we pulled my other bros motor out of his eclipse and building it with piston and rods in the garage here and that thing sucked!!! 13 mm bolts 11 mm bolts wtf!! J/K it wasn't that bad everything was just crammed like an h22a in a crx...well not that bad but close enough comaprison..

apolgz for spelling kinda blazed and faded :M:

i'll red this 2mrw and luagh at meself for grmmr

DSMs are so easy to work on. Ive pulled the head in a parking lot while it was snowing...it was the first time too. 2gs are a little harder, and the N/T 2gs are worse.

The only DSM i know of that you need a puller to get the pulley off of is the 2g N/T with the 420a. I know cause i have a UDP on the Neon (Same motor, almost). On a 4G63 all you need to do is pull off 4 bolts around the pulley and it comes right off. Then to get the flange off you need to get that center bolt off...and 1/2" drive air gun will take it right off.

Tell them if they need to work on a DSM let me know. I love working on them....Ive never worked on a civic, but none of these cars compare to working on a M88. Its a big beast of a tracked recovery vehicle...the engine alone weighs more than damn near all cars, ever...Its like 7800lbs. Or try trouble shooting a LMTV(army truck that has a flat front). To get to the engine you have to jack the cab forward, then to get back in the cab you have to jack it back...Yeah, i can say that most cars(with the exception of a 300zx) dont have anything on some of the things i get to work on.

My friend Brian has a 91 Civic HB and he has the HASport mounts and it's a little rough at idle but when you shift or even rev the motor it doesnt move. If i still had my CRX, i wouldve went with the HASport mounts.
