Diesel is 3.59 gallon up here in AK. You should see our bill after we fill up the boat with a couple thousand gallons.

Reg is now 3.29/gal and premium is now 3.49/gal, fucking rediculous.

So you pay that much out of your pocket to drive a truck for a company??? You are hauling something for someone not yourself right. Why would you pay to take a business there own stuff?

I Guess it didnt help that he was the last one that posted before my bump. I still think the picture is classic.

"and you think YOU pay alot for gas!"

EDit: I remember when Diesel was cheaper and the same price as regular gas. That was also back when gas was below $2.50, and that was in Cali.

Another thing I noticed between states is the grade of gas. California, among other states has different gas for low, mid, and high.
Here is CO we have 85 as our lowest, 87 is the mid, and 91 for the premium. Why is it that California and other western states have 87 as low, 89 as mid, and 91 as high?

Skaterkid

Because California has too high of a population using 91. Fuel suppliers couldn't make enough 92, so they dropped the octane requirement to 91.

Elevation. Being that Denver's atmospheric pressure is only 12 psi (as opposed to high 14's at sea level), our engines don't see as much cylinder pressure and therefore don't require as high of an octane rating to prevent pre-ignition.

Yes, California should have 92 for the coastal reigions, but they don't for the reason I stated above.
