Yes I would not part with my Rebel XTI for the world and after getting the 10-22, 75-300IS, and my 65mm Macro oh and you gotta have the Canon 580EX Flash you can take about the best pictures ever.. I have done six weddings in three weekends and it is crazy... Next up is the EOS-1D MARK III

nevermind, I guess I didn't even need to ask since you wrote it at the top of your post. It would help if I read first, huh? :)

$4k is quite a bit of money to drop into a camera, I see what you mean now.

Good tripod and monopod- $300

Thats a beginners set up right there, I've outgrown all of them. My set up by the end of the summer:

580EX flash - $400
Canon 50mm 1.4 - $316

You pretty much just listed my to-be summer setup, except add x2 behind the 30D, and x3 behind the 580EX's, and throw in a couple of Pocket Wizards. :)

*edit* And my 70-200 will be the f/2.8 IS instead.

I was gonna say...why not spend a few hundred more and get the 70-200 IS? I I dont really know if its worth it and what not but I figure I'm already spending over a grand, I might as well get the better one so I dont have to upgrade later. I just picked up a 20d body for roughly 600 shipped. if any of you guys have old gear you want to get rid of email me at transaxion02@yahoo.com we should all get together and shoot sometime too, I'd head over to the meet tomorrow but I have to work all day.

I'm going to be getting some Alien Bee's and some backing material as well....going to keep my 350D as my second body

GPS mounted to the rearview mirror? Looks like it's there in a few pics and not in the others... weird.

You shouldn't be turning your head all crazy like while driving! ;)

Broadway mirror on the rearview, and I was changing lanes and checking my blind spot when I turned my head ;)

haha... here are some fun photos I took. I bought the canon with the flip out screen and my nephew was intrigued at how he could see himself on the screen. He was crawling up on my lap trying to grab the camera... lol...

Never heard of such a thing until just now. I found one online for less than $20, how do you like it? It's only *slightly* gaudy ;)

Fuckin LOVE it!! Get the actual Broadway brand tho, anything else is chincy and sometimes messes up the vision. Once you put one on your mirror, you will never want to go back to a conventional rearview mirror!

I would really love to show up but I am visiting some family in WI right now and I'm not leaving until Sunday. I was kind of hoping for inclimate weather so the date could get pushed, but alas, it's going to be nice. :(

For $10 shipped off ebay, it's cheap enough to just find out if I like it or not.

Make sure its "Broadway" brand and is branded with it on the mirror....makes a big difference on fit/mirror quality

Even the two auctions for "100% Genuine Broadway Mirror"

I've been using the 24-70 F5.6L and 50mm F1.8 for about a year now, and I absolutely love them... I need to pick up a couple more lenses soon because I need something longer, and I also need a wideangle. :)
