My borrowed work laptop for travel isn't recognizing the sd card I stick into its internal slot. I can't find a driver or driver location anywhere for the card reader. I have found some stuff on ubuntu about this, but its all greek to me. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.

I need to know what all I need to put a B16 into my car. I'm not going to tell you what car it is though...

;) I'm just playing with you (original poster)

I can't for the life of me figure that out. All the logos etc have been removed from the case. This thing is a total shitbox. Is there somewhere in windows I can find that info?

When you first boot the laptop up does the splash screen give you a logo or a bunch of text?

Could you possibly take a picture of said laptop? I or somebody else may be able to recognize it.

Now you just gotta figure out which model you have. The car driver might be the same for all models.

Thanks Hung (its the CL50 btw). Now if I update the motherboard driver or the bios am I at risk to lose all my data? I can't find anything specific about an SD card driver.

Its an Amata CL50 I guess.

If you're sure that's the model number than here are the drivers for the SD reader.

I usually don't recommend the average user update their BIOS unless there is a specific reason to.

By the way, I would hardly call a laptop with a P-M 1.6GHz with a gig and a half of RAM a total shit box. ;) More than enough hardware for running day to day applications.
