Back in the day, I called up one of my IT support counterparts out in Des Moines and she said she cant talk at the moment because they're all headed to the basement because a tornado just touched down where they were at. I bet that was scary for her.

Ummm, pretty much ALL the trees are there. At least they won't have to rake leaves later on.

Were most of the people evacuated? It looks like the death toll would be pretty high if all those people were in their homes.

And they want to rebuild. Sorry, but after that I'd wouldn't even live in any tornado prone area.

Look at all the people in florida. Year after year, they rebuild, the winds and the waves taketh away. Seems dumb to me.

Check out the F5, at the time I lived about 150 yards south of Mconnell AFB.

It passed our house as an F2 and we watched it turn into an F4 as it hit the hospital and then went to level Andover as an F5

then one month to the day, a tornado came through and wiped out my neighborhood leveling everything and then died off in a near by farmers field... only traveled about 1/4 mile right through the middle of my neighborhood and fucked just about everything up.

it kinda makes you numb to tornados.. when you survive so many of em (I have a fuck load more tornado stories lol) you stop being afraid of em.

Wow. I am surprised that the elevator is still standing.

17 people died in that one that was 150 yards away from you? That's really shitty.

Good point but hurricanes rarely raze an area but it happens. I rather take my chances in the Florida instead of the middle of tornado alley.
