I noticed this about a month and a half after I installed the 8 PSI blower pulley. Every day when I start my car after it's been sitting for more than an hour or so, it kindof makes a humming noise. This only lasts about 5 minutes or until the engine is sufficiently warmed up. The hum does not increase with the throttle.
However, there is also another intermittent sort of belt noise squeak that does increase with the throttle. This doesn't happen every time, but does happen every once in a while upon startup, and goes away again after about 5 minutes.
I think it's pretty annoying, sounds like my honda is sick/has a cold. Is it possible that I tightened the belt too much when I put on the 8 PSI pulley and am harming the nose gear, which is then causing this noise until it warms up and expands? Or do I just need some belt dressing? I think the belt is tight, but not overtight, maybe someone would like to have a look at it? Let me know what you guys think.
