Pretty soon we wont have a choice. Guess my next mod will be a "Dry clean only" sticker.

HAHA! We should make some of those stickers and sell them to people in CO. Additional income = ;RoCkOn;

I saw a bilboard in Denver off of SantaFe and 6th avenue on Friday that said "Prevent forrest fires... stop playing with matches, Colorado." I thought that was pretty funny.

Yeah I thought some of the newly rehashed fire prevention stuff was kindof a joke until I went and sae all the forest land that was burned. Its the worst Ive ever seen it. In Glenwood springs you can see it from anywhere in town. Today I saw it about 10 minutes west of Boulder. on the western slope it is everywhere you look. It makes me kindof sad but on the other hand if the forests dont burnonce in a while they choke to death and arent as beutiful. [/offsoapbox]

here is a mountain near Glenwood. Last summer I was there and you couldnt see anything but trees and a little red. This year its all exposed dirt and some black sticks.

here is where the fire came right up to the road. This used to be six foot tall scrub oak. Now just some tufts of black. It was two weeks after the fire so you can see how fast it starts to grow back.

Hell yeah, that's a phat ride. That is my dreamcar. I want one someday...i will have one someday ;wor; :D
Fire is actaully kind of good for the ground as it releases, oh blah, blah, blah, blah, I just heard that it's good okay!! Do I realy have to explain myself?

Yeah fire is good for vegetation and all that but bad for people. :grrr:
You are right, every once in a while I like to set my house plants on fire just cause I know that it is good for them. Really keeps them on their toes you know.

remember thats what they said about the Yellowstone fires back in the 80s too. "Let Burn Policy" came back and bit them in the ass...I think major forests need to burn every now and then...but when you think about how many of the fires were started by 'people' and not nature...its a tough call.
Only when you see a 580k acre forest fire from 100 miles away can you understand.. :)

Well the reason it burns so violently and for thousands and millions of acres is because we let the undergrowth go too long.
The forests should be scheduled to be burned in small controllable areas from time to time but what do i know. Ill stick to burning up the racetrack:D:D:D:D:D
