It probably has a high theft rating as most honda's and acura's do.

That's the way they rate vehicles based on performance and luxury and what not. A seven is actually pretty low for a rating. If you had a Porsche or something it might be as high as like a 22. I don't sell insurance so I don't really know that much about it. If you have a more specific question I could probably find out an answer for you from an underwriter or something though.

If your company doesn't offer good student, you can always find a company that does. Not all companies will offer discounts like that anymore. They are more rare than they once used to be.

Integra insurance rates are pretty high... According to my insurance company (Progressive), full coverage on a brand new Porsche Cayman S ($58k MSRP) would only be $50/mo more than what I'm currently paying for liability + uninsured-motorist coverage on my Integra.

^^ I can vouch for that. I was going to pick up an rsx for winter at one point and it was more expensive than my vette for the insurance.

With Allstate, we have an alphabetical system to rate cars. It depends on cost of parts/labor, how many claims we have on that type of car, etc. Your agent might just be BSing you and using that term bc you don't know what it means. That seems like a pretty big jump from a rating change but then again, Farmers is whacky so who knows.

Every couple months each state goes through rate revisions. I've seen some agencies take forever to put those rate revisions into action ending in large premium increases like this. I would shop around and see if you can find better. There are plenty of companies out there you can try.

damn thats crazy high. I have a 95 gsr with full coverage for less than 150 a month. Im over the 25 mark so i know that has a lot to do with it.

For Farmers, they rate cars as A-Z then 1-9. As a 7 that's pretty high. My Volvo 850 is only a 4. I pay 450 every 6 and that's w/ all discounts!
