climate control question

Ok guys, iv been trying to search for this one, but come up with no luck.... so if theres one already made point me to the forum....

so i just bought a 96ex with a full interior si conversion. with a 95 ls b18b1...runs great.... but the climate control is acting extremely funky!

for one, when you push the button to put heat to the vents one your face..... it only goes to the far outside vents, next to the passenger and driver side door..

for two, when you put it to windshield defrost, it goes to all vents for your face, but not the windshield defrost...

so my question is, how do i figure this one out?? anyone ever seen anything so fucking weird?

The 96 didnt come with the electronic mode motor control. So it must have been installed when the dash conversion was done. I would double check the installation, sounds like someone didnt do it right. The mode control motor is on the left hand side of the mix door assembly just to the right of your accellerator pedal. Good luck.

I have the complete wire harness and the climate control and the blower and heater core if u need one for your conversion

Ive done this conversion myself. infact I bougt tobys blower from his old si. anyways yeah on the left side of the selector box is an electric motor (green harness clip) that uses a connecting rod to change the vent selection, try disconnecting it from the motor and move it manually to see that it moves freely through all positions.
