Hey all. I have a 95 Integra GSR and my tranny is getting ready to go. I cannot find a GSR tranny anywhere in the whole US, but i can find LS trannies. My question is, if i got a LS tranny, how much slower would it make my car? I think it just might be a good idea to get the LS anyways for boost. I just wanted a few opinions and see if anybody might know how well the LS tranny runs on a stock GSR motor and also if it's better for boost or not.
Thanks

It woudl make your car quite a bit slower man. Unless you are going turbo I dont reccomend it at all.

Thanks for the help man. If i find a GSR tranny and decide to go turbo, do you think that the GSR tranny will work fine with boost or will it go through the gears to quick? Again, Thanks for the help.

The LS transmission has longer gearing, so you'd be slower off the line but have a better top end and higher top speed.
Stock vs stock, the GS-R is faster than the LS because of it's higher redline and shorter gearing. Longer gearing would take away a big part of your advantage.
I think http://www.sohfast.com sells GS-R transmissions for about $1k.

Well exactly. Obviously the GSR is quicker, but i was just wondering how much slower the LS tranny would make it. Oh well, i think i've found myself a GSR tranny already and boost will be coming soon so hopefully the tranny will hold up.

Tranny will be fine with the GSR ;)

There's a guy named Daniel @ Planet honda. He's willing to throw you some cash for your tranny, he would rebuild it most likely. You may want to do that then buy a tranny. I'll look around for a GSR tranny also.

Allright, thanks Eric. If i were to do that, i would just need to find a tranny ASAP because not having a car for me would really suck because i drive around everywhere and need to get around to some places. Thanks for looking too.
