Starter problems

okay this is a DA "B series", but heres the problem i put a new starter in and a week or 2 pass by and it goes out. stops working or the starter stays out and doesnt come back in it stays stuck on the flywheel what could that be i know i have a electrical problem LMK what you guys think.

Pull the starter out and bench test it. If it stays out then it's the starter, take it back and get a new one. If it works fine then you have the wrong start for that flywheel or an electrical problem. Make sure you have the right one. Might have the wrong tooth count. That's my guess.
