i just put a greddy bov on my turbod d16 and am getting compressor surge sound i tried adjusting it but nothing works any ideas?no sound from bov until hit boost then you can hear it over the compressor surge

Do you have a good source of vacuum going to the BOV? Sounds like you don't and it's only working when there's enough pressure to push it open.

yeah i am using the same vac source that was hooked up to my dsm blow off valve but it is a little big for the nipple so i zip tied it maybe i will try changing it to a smaller size vac hose thanks for the advice

Or there could be a bad seal on the inside of the BOV, maybe try another BOV and see if it works or does the same thing.

Are you sure it's compressor surge? I don't think you'll hit compressor surge until after you've made boost, IF your bov doesn't open when you let off the gas you'll surge.
