I was wondering if its possible to use the complete internals of the d series tranny and put it in a b series tranny casting?

There are a couple companies that make adapter kits to mate a D series trans to a B series engine. But thats all you can do along those lines.

Why? Is there something special about D-series tranny internal that I don't know about?

swap a b-series trans onto a h22 is the way to go. d-series trans suck

Why? Is there something special about D-series tranny internal that I don't know about?Completly different on the shift fork assembly I know for sure. I'm sure the dogteeth and such are different too.
Good thing about D's they're cheap, abundant, and easily swapped.
