I gotta friend that put a sohc non vtec motor from a 96-99 civic into a 93 civic and doesnt know what harness to use? Should he use the ek harness or the one of the eg?

It will have to be the EG harness. EK's are obd2 cars. He will have to conver to OBD1. I'm not 100% sure on D series but thats how it is on B. He will need OBD1 Distributor, injectors, and alternator. Or he can just rewire them.

does anyone have a conversion harness that will work for this swap.....also would anyone like to trade a 96-99 sohc non vtec harness for a 92-95 sohc non vtec harness?

if your 93 is a dx and your dropping in a newer dx, use your stock harness and ecu. Unless you have something totally diff

ok here is whats going down, he has a 93 civic it had a sohc non vtec motor, that motor got pulled and he put in the 96-99 sohc non vtec motor in, the 93 harness was cut, the only good harness is the 96-99 the motor is already in with the harness on, now what should happen next

if your 93 is a dx and your dropping in a newer dx, use your stock harness and ecu. Unless you have something totally diff

im not sure what the model is but does have power windows not locks i havent really checked out the car

someone had cut it from my understanding, im gettin called in this to help out the mess so i need help lol

get a stock harness, find the model first off, dx, lk, ex,si, type R

all i know is that its a 93 with power windows locks no sunroof if that helps out

also where the ecu hooks up to, the wires are spliced and put together with other wiring around where the ecu is, the ghetto work starts around the ecu glove box area and works its way towards the driver side what should he do about that?

take a pic, and we'll go from there. maybe they had vtec wired in at one point
