Sounds like a shitty setup. A d15b would be so much better. D15 with a T-25 from a DSM.

Here is what you are looking at roughly with that setup. This is on pump gas and 17 psi.

Turbo seems like it would be a tad small according to the compressor map. If it's "fully built" and you're talking like 20+ psi, go with something larger like a gt35r, possibly a 40r depending on how crazy you go with your setup.

Better have deep pockets, though.

the reason im only running a gt30 is it will be a daily driver my crx was way too much power for a daily driver so i want to keep it around 600whp.

Tobi, was that on a GT30R? And if you want it to be a daily driver, you better turn it down to about 3-400 WHP. Anything over that and you'll be buying new tires every month.

Um, where is your math on this? The 30R is perfect for the K24 for its rev capabilities and VE. As you can see on the dyno chart it revs to just a tad over 7k,( with a built head) stock K24s runout of poopy at about 6200. The 35R map puts it just out of reach for he K24 to use its range. For a street driven car you want a good mix of power and spool times. This K already takes 5500 rpm or so to get full boost, why would you want to stretch that out? The K20 can rev to 8800 or better on the stock oiling system. Meaning it could benefit from the 35 or 40Rs.

Ah, ok.. well that's my fault for not knowing my about K-series then. I was unaware of their rather short redline. I figured they revved as high as B's on all K heads. My fault, sorry.

No problem. Now your brain is fuller. My K revs to 6300 but Im done making power at the 6000 range. Thats why I have such a smallish turbo. I get full boost at 3100 which makes for some good third gear pulls. 1-2 gear are totally worthless until I get some decent tires, and even then...

Gotcha. I hope you still love me like the redheaded step-child you never wanted to have, Tobi.

Here is mine. Bone stock internals, Element K24
A note about this chart. This is with the stock VTEC point. I moved it
to 2800 and got my boost much earlier. When I redyno it I will post up a better
chart of that.

What's so different between the two heads that allows the K20 head to rev so much higher? I'm assuming the 20's use a stronger retainer/dual spring type of setup?

Its not the head that allows it to rev higher. Its the stroke of the K24. Piston speeds on the K24 are much higher at those revs and dont allow for very good cylinder filling. The head on the first chart is identical to a built RSX head.

Good info. Those torque numbers make me hate having a B. :(
