KO3 to KO3 sport turbo swap

Ok, I have a friend that can get me his old KO3 Sport turbo for real cheap (almost free). Since VW ECU's learn A LOT, would I need to have my ecu modded, or would it be able to learn the changes from the new turbo? Anyone that knows or any ideas on it?

brandon...you allready have a ko3 sport in your car.

awd=ko3
aww=ko3 sport
awp=ko3 sport

difference between ko3 and ko3 sport is the sport has some ko4 internals

we do? I thought those were just in the newer years, i.e. 180 horse 1.8T's?

Nope, we have the ko3 sport! The awp's got 180 cause their ecu is set to 11 psi and they have a bigger stock down pipe.
